Vanessa A. Nadal

Adjunct Professor of Law
Vanessa A. Nadal is global marketing counsel at The Estée Lauder Companies. She is also the co-creator and co-professor of the first law school course on U.S. Cosmetics Regulation which covers governmental, industrial, and societal regulations for making and selling cosmetics. She wrote a chapter on cosmetics regulations for a nutshell on fashion law from the Fashion Law Institute at Fordham Law School (coming soon).
After earning her B.S. in chemical engineering at MIT, Ms. Nadal began her professional career as a research and development scientist at Johnson & Johnson. There, she developed and tested innovative technologies for skincare products. Drawing on her critical thinking skills, Ms. Nadal turned her sights to law.
Upon completing her J.D. at Fordham Law, Ms. Nadal was a litigation associate at Jones Day, where she worked on federal, state, and international disputes. She has experience in a variety of subjects, including FDA, FTC and CRA law, intellectual property and contract law, and the False Claims Act.
