FPLA

Fordham Plaintiffs' Law Association (FPLA) is a student organization dedicated to supporting Fordham Law students interested in plaintiff-side litigation careers through mentorship, networking, and informational opportunities with experienced practitioners.  

Goals

As Fordham Law's plaintiff-side affinity and professional group, we aim to:

  1. Help students interested in plaintiff-side litigation careers explore and pursue that path.
  2. Keep students informed about job, internship, and clerkship opportunities in plaintiff-side practice.
  3. Educate the law school community about representing plaintiffs in civil litigation.
  4. Plan and host speaker events, panels, and networking opportunities with experienced plaintiffs'-side practitioners.
  5. Facilitate connections between current FPLA members and alumni working in plaintiffs' law.
  6. Disseminate resources from the National Plaintiffs' Law Association (NPLA) to help students understand paths in the field.
  7. Help members build the professional networks and knowledge that support long-term careers in plaintiffs' law.
  8. Expand FPLA's presence so prospective students can learn about plaintiffs'-side opportunities at Fordham Law.
