Fordham University has developed a communication plan to keep the campus community safe and provide real-time communication to alert the Fordham community in the event campus emergencies. With the emergency communications system, Alertus, Public Safety can notify the campus community in seconds about emergencies or dangerous conditions on or near campus.

Alertus is a rapid mass notification system that can send alerts to various devices, including desktops, VoIP phones, blue light phones, and mobile devices, simultaneously and in seconds, ensuring comprehensive emergency communication across campus and facilities.
