AlcoholEdu and Sexual Assault Prevention

As part of Fordham University’s comprehensive approach to alcohol abuse prevention, all new students enrolled in Fordham College Rose Hill, Fordham College Lincoln Center and the Gabelli School of Business are required to complete AlcoholEdu for College.

Used on over 500 campuses nationwide, the course uses science-based research to educate students about alcohol and its effects. AlcoholEdu for College creates a learning experience that clarifies unrealistic expectations about the effects of alcohol, links choices about drinking to academic and personal success, and helps students practice healthier and safer decision-making. 

In addition to providing alcohol education for all new students, AlcoholEdu collects survey data from students as they complete the course. All survey responses are strictly confidential; Fordham University will only receive information about the student body as whole and will never see individual students' answers.

The course has two sections, both of which must be completed to fulfill this requirement:

Please Note: You must receive a grade of 80% or higher to pass and receive credit for the course.

As part of Fordham University’s comprehensive approach providing a variety of prevention initiatives and education, all members of the first year class enrolled in Fordham College Rose Hill, Fordham College Lincoln Center and the Gabelli School of Business are required to complete Sexual Assault Prevention for undergraduates.

Sexual Assault Prevention is an online sexual assault prevention and bystander awareness program to educate our students to be responsible and foster a safe campus environment. Within this program, students are provided with important information, including key definitions, bystander strategies, and resources to help educate on sexual assault and relationship abuse.

EverFi has partnered with the National Domestic Violence Hotline to provide access to an anonymous "Chat with and Advocate" feature within the Sexual Assault Prevention course. If at any time during the course you would like to chat with a trained Hotline advocate, you can click the "Chat with an Advocate" button. Advocates are available to chat every day from 7 a.m. - 2 a.m. Central Time. No identifiable information of students using the chat feature will be collected by EverFi nor shared back with Fordham University.

• Once on the registration page you will be asked for additional information to complete the creation of your account. You will not need to create an additional username or password.
• You may log in and out of the course at the end of each section. Section ends are marked with a “Next” button. DO NOT log out until you click the “Next” button or you will have to repeat the section you have just gone through.
• To log back into your account, always access AlcoholEdu and Sexual Assault Prevention from my.fordham.edu.
