Book Series
The Curran Center for American Catholic Studies supports and promotes scholarship that deepens understanding of Catholic life, thought, and culture. As part of its commitment to research and publication, the Center supports two book series curated around key themes and areas of inquiry within Catholic Studies. Curran Center Staff members John Seitz and Angela Alaimo O’Donnell edit the series, which are housed at Fordham University Press. Together, the series promote scholarship from around the world and reflect the depth, range, and interdisciplinary character of the field.

This series aims to contribute to the growing field of Catholic studies by publishing books devoted to the historical and cultural survey of Catholic practice in the Americas, from the colonial period to the present. The series springs from a pressing need in the study of American Catholicism for critical investigation and analysis of the contours of Catholic experience across the Americas.

The Flannery O’Connor Trust Series seeks to publish critical, biographical, and historical studies that engage the work of noteworthy Catholic writers, especially, though not exclusively, the work of Flannery O’Connor. It includes studies that explore the relationship between the writer’s Catholicism and the larger culture he or she belongs to are of particular interest.
