Guillermo Severiche is Senior Lecturer of Spanish and Language Program Director, as well as a writer and literary curator. His fiction, essays, and plays have been published in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Spain, and Chile. His plays have received staged readings in New York, Orlando, and Madrid, and his debut novel, El agua viene de noche, was published in Argentina in 2021.
He is the founder of EN CONSTRUCCIÓN, a series of literary readings that amplifies the work of NYC-based Latin American writers, and serves as Literary Manager at IATI Theater, a Latinx bilingual company in the East Village. He holds a B.A. in Modern Literatures from Universidad Nacional de Cuyo (Argentina), an M.A. and Ph.D. from Louisiana State University, and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing in Spanish from New York University.
