Transfer Students

General Transfer Information

All transfer students interested in the Theatre Program must apply for admission to the University, in addition to completing the audition/interview process. Here is more information on the University's transfer admissions process. For information on how to apply to transfer into one of the Theatre Program tracks, please see below:

Please note that Fordham University cannot guarantee on-campus housing for transfer students.

Due to the sequence of coursework, all students who transfer into the theatre program—including those who transfer in the spring—cannot begin a majority of classes until the fall semester. Please also be aware that the deadline for application to the theatre program is not necessarily the same as the general transfer application deadline.

Transfer Information for the Performance Concentration

For entrance for Spring 2026 or Fall 2026

For Spring 2026 applicants, all prescreening materials must be submitted by November 1, 2025, to be eligible for a callback audition.

Students applying for entry into the Spring 2026 semester must select the December callback dates as their preferred dates. Notifications of prescreen results will be sent by November 17, 2025.

For Fall 2026 applicants, all prescreening materials must be submitted by December 1, 2025, to be eligible for a callback audition.

Fall 2025 applicants that do not note the December callback dates as preferred will be notified of their prescreen result by December 12, 2025.

Pre-Screening Information

All applicants to the theatre program are required to submit a pre-screen as part of their audition process. More information on specific requirements for each theatre concentration can be found on the following pages:
