Chauntee' Schuler Irving brings a wealth of experience to her role as Head of Acting and Assistant Professor in Performance to Fordham at The Lincoln Center with a remarkable background spanning over two decades as a Broadway actor and educator. Her teaching journey has taken her to prestigious institutions such as The American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco, the American Music and Dramatic Academy in Los Angeles, and Duke University. At the heart of her teaching philosophy lies a dedication to embodied performative practices that prioritize equity and inclusivity in actor training. Chauntee' has graced the stage in lead roles across Broadway, Off- Broadway, National Tours, and regional productions, showcasing her versatility in both theater and screen, including appearances in television and national commercials. She has honed her craft through rigorous training at institutions like The Actors' Studio Drama School, The Barrow Group Theater Company, and The Ailey School, culminating in her MFA in Theatre Pedagogy from Virginia Commonwealth University. A proud member of AEA and SAG-AFTRA, Chauntee' continues to make waves in the industry with her upcoming guest starring role as Maria Cross in the Amazon Prime TV series "Cross".
