Shaun Suchan

About

Shaun Suchan, originally from Cleveland, Ohio, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theater from The Ohio State University and a Master of Fine Arts in Lighting Design from the University of Florida. Before joining Fordham University, Shaun worked as a freelance lighting designer and electrician in New York City. At Fordham, he began as the inaugural Light and Sound Supervisor and has since risen to his current role as Director of Production for the Theater Program.

In addition to his role at Fordham, Shaun has designed lighting for numerous theater and dance productions both nationally and internationally. His expertise extends to museum lighting, with projects spanning across the globe, including exhibitions in China, Greece, England, as well as notable institutions like the Smithsonian in Washington, DC, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.

Shaun is also an adjunct professor in the Theater Program, where he shares his extensive industry knowledge with students. Outside of work, Shaun enjoys time with his wife and family, often found coaching on the soccer field or softball diamond.
