Matching Gifts

Many employers offer a matching gift program to eligible employees. If you or your spouse work for a company that matches employees' charitable contributions, your donation to Fordham Law may be doubled or tripled simply by completing a form provided by your employer.

As a donor, you will be credited with the total contribution, including your corporate match.

Visit our matching gift search engine to find out if your employer matches charitable gifts.

IRA Rollover Gifts

Donors age 70 ½ and older are eligible to make IRA rollover gifts of up to $100,000 to Fordham Law School. Funds are transferred directly from the IRA administrator to Fordham, so the contribution is not included in the donor’s gross income and can count toward the donor’s minimum distribution requirement.

Visit Fordham University’s planned giving website to review the requirements and restrictions that apply to this method of giving.

If you plan on naming Fordham Law as a beneficiary of an IRA charitable rollover, please complete and return the IRA notification form so that we know to expect a check or wire transfer from your IRA administrator.

Bequests and Planned Gifts

You may name Fordham Law as the beneficiary of a planned gift. Such gifts can include a bequest, charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder unitrust, or life insurance. Once you complete your estate plans, please let us know. We would like to thank you for your generosity by including you in the Fordham Law 1905 Society.

UK Donors

Fordham is approved to receive grants from the CAF American Donor Fund. CADF is effectively a donor advised fund, where a donor makes gifts to the Fund and CADF then disburses the contributions according to the donor’s recommendations. Giving through CADF has advantages for UK-only taxpaying donors, as well as for donors who pay both UK and US taxes.

To make your gift, complete the CADF Gift Form, the Account Opening Form, and the Gift Aid Declaration. Send your contribution and the three completed forms to CAF at the address below. Once your gift has been processed you will receive a CADF receipt for tax purposes.
