Filming and Photography Process
All productions must follow the steps below. Requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and are subject to campus availability and academic priorities.
1. Schedule a Scout
All productions must first arrange a campus scout to review proposed locations, access points, and general logistics. Scouts are coordinated through Conference Services and must take place prior to submitting a filming application.
2. Submit Filming Request
Following the scout, productions must submit a formal filming request via the Fordham filming application. Requests should include proposed date(s), start and end times, description of activities, equipment list, crew size, and any anticipated campus support needs.
A minimum two-week advance notice and processing fee are required. Incomplete requests will not be reviewed.
3. Review and Approvals
Requests are reviewed by University Administration and relevant campus stakeholders. Approvals are contingent on academic schedules, campus operations, and safety considerations. Locations are not confirmed until written approval is issued.
4. Insurance, Contract and Invoice
Once approved, productions must provide the required Certificate of Insurance, execute a filming agreement, and remit payment prior to filming.

All productions must carry general liability insurance naming Fordham University as Additional Insured. Minimum coverage requirements are as follows:
- Feature Film / Television: $6 million
