Panopto is a cloud-based lecture capture service available to all Fordham University faculty, staff and students. Use Panopto to record lectures and presentations using your computer’s audio, video, and desktop screen. Panopto also provides robust editing and accessibility services. Use the Blackboard integration to embed videos in your Blackboard courses.
Access Panopto from within Blackboard, Fordham.hosted.panopto.com, or at the MyApps tab at My.Fordham.edu. To access Pantopo from my.fordham.edu, select the My Apps page at the at the top (desktop view) or the three line menu icon (tablet view) at the top-right of the screen. Scroll down to Academic and select Panopto.
Zoom meetings recorded to the cloud using a Fordham Zoom account are now integrated with Panopto. When you record a meeting to the cloud, the recording will automatically be sent to your Panopto account. It will be found in the folder called Meeting Recordings.

Zoom vs Panopto
Panopto is not a replacement for Zoom or Blackboard Collaborate. Use Zoom or Blackboard Collaborate for a live/synchronous class. Use Panopto to record a lecture for asynchronous viewing.
