At Fordham, we offer an extensive program in pre-health professions for students in any major considering medical school or a health-related career. With personalized one-on-one advising and a tight-knit community of peers, you'll get the guidance and support you need to thrive in a range of careers in medicine and beyond.
Here, you’ll have access to all that Fordham’s New York has to offer, from hands-on internships with our industry partners to research opportunities alongside faculty experts. Dive into clinical volunteer work across the city and test prep sessions on campus. You’ll be prepared for advanced study and careers in medicine, physician assistance, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and other areas of science and public health.

At Fordham, you’ll use AI as a tool to enhance your learning. Our program will equip you with the skills to navigate the ever-changing landscape of AI in the workforce. As a part of the pre-health program, you’ll be able to use AI to advance your own research, particularly in areas like drug discovery, brain mapping, and early detection for cancers and diseases.
You’ll also be able to earn credentials and paid micro-internships through IBM SkillsBuild’s Getting Started with AI course. All Fordham students and graduates have access to AI training through RamConnect, the University’s alumni and experiential learning platform.
Above all, you’ll learn skills that can’t be replaced by AI, such as critical thinking, creativity, emotional intelligence, and integrity.
