Characteristics of Team Chair

Fordham would seek to invite a sitting or recently retired president or provost of a faith-based institution of comparable scope, complexity, and scale to Fordham University. An appreciation of the key role of liberal arts, humanities, and sciences across undergraduate programs, familiarity with a broad array of graduate and professional programs, an appreciation of mission committed to serving others, and experience in a multi-campus, urban setting are essential.


Team Members

As with the Team Chair, Fordham requests Team Members from faith-based institutions with an appreciation of the key role of liberal arts, humanities, and sciences across undergraduate programs, and a familiarity with a broad array of graduate and professional programs. In addition, an appreciation of mission committed to serving others and experience in a multi-campus, urban setting are essential. Preferably, team members will have individual expertise in one or more of the following: academic affairs; student affairs; strategic planning; diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging; governance; university finance and operations; and/or assessment.
