Learning Innovation Collaborative Fellowship

The Learning Innovation Collaborative (LIC) Fellowship aims to collaboratively reimagine teaching and learning by developing versatile, learner-informed models for pedagogy that can be shared among faculty across disciplines. 

The Fellowship operates on an annual basis, centering each year on a relevant core question or topic. Faculty and student Fellows are partnered in pairs or small teams to collaboratively, creatively explore new approaches to learning. Inaugural 2026 LIC Fellows’ partnerships addressed teaching and learning in the age of AI. The upcoming 2027 LIC Fellows program will explore new models for experiential learning. 

LIC Fellowship Timeline of Events: 

  • Call for faculty applications is announced in early November each year.
  • Deadline for faculty applications arrives December 1 of each year.
  • Announcement of faculty LIC Fellows is made by mid-December each year.
  • Student Fellow recruitment begins in January as students return to campus. 
  • Student Fellows are selected in late January.
  • Fellowship programming runs from February to May each year. 

The LIC Fellowship consists of two phases: the planning and design phase takes place through structured meetings and worksessions from February through early May each year; the evaluation phase takes place in pilot courses during the following fall term. 

LIC Fellows are expected to participate in the following: 

  • Monthly all-cohort workshops, 2hrs, in person and alternating between the Rose Hill and Lincoln Center campuses to be held in the first week of February, March, April, and May. Workshop schedule will be announced with the Call for Proposals, and applicants must be able to participate in all four sessions. 
  • Weekly student-faculty partnership meetings, 1hr, to be scheduled by the student-faculty pair throughout the duration of the Fellowship. 

Student Fellows will also have regular check-in meetings with the CEI Director throughout the Fellowship.
