GDL Faculty Development
Graduate Distance Learning (GDL) offers faculty development workshops designed to support effective, engaging, and evidence-based teaching in online and hybrid learning environments. Rather than focusing primarily on particular technologies or tools, our workshops emphasize the instructional practices that contribute to meaningful learning experiences for students.
Workshop topics include approaches to online course design and instruction, strategies for fostering student engagement and interaction, effective and authentic assessment practices, and the evolving implications of artificial intelligence for teaching and learning. While these workshops are developed with online and hybrid instruction in mind, all Fordham faculty are welcome to participate.
