Department of Homeland Security (DHS) STEM Designated CIP codes (for International Students)

Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) graduates who attended Fordham on an F-1 visa may be eligible for a 24-month extension of post-graduation Optional Practical Training. Program CIP codes are provided in the Bulletin. Consult the DHS STEM Designated program list to determine whether your major or program has been designated STEM. If your program has been included in the DHS list, you can learn more about application requirements and procedures from the Office of International Services.
