Religious Traditions and Faith Life

  • Catholic Life at Fordham is grounded in the Body of Christ and the Communion of Saints, where you can form deep connections, nourish your spirit, experience traditions, and become leaders for the Church of the future. Catholic Life is propelled by active, engaged, and caring student leaders, and offers many opportunities for you to participate and build meaningful community with one another and engage in worship, service, and fellowship, such as:

    • Weekly liturgies and music ministry
    • Praise and Worship, Catholic Student Fellowship, AMDG club, and Rosary
    • Java with the Jesuits
    • OCIA program for those exploring becoming Catholic or being confirmed
    • Retreats, service opportunities, and more throughout the year

  • Assalamu Alaikum, dear Fordham students!
    We have a wonderful year of spiritual growth, community building, and engaging discussions ahead. Our recurring programs include: 
    • Weekly Jumu'ah Prayers: A cornerstone of our community, held every Friday on both campuses
    • Weekly Halaqa: an opportunity to deepen your understanding of Islam and discuss contemporary issues, Mondays at RH and Thursdays at LC.

    Looking for your Jewish home on campus? Whether you’re lighting Shabbat candles every week, still figuring out what Judaism means to you, or just curious: Jewish Life at Fordham is here for you. Come on by for community over:

Ignatian Spirituality & Retreats

  • Looking for a break from the city?  Fordham Retreats offer the perfect getaway at our beautiful Philip McGrath, S.J. Retreat House in Goshen, NY.  Rooted in Ignatian spirituality, our retreats invite you to reflect on your spirituality, deepen self-awareness, and build meaningful community.  Whether you are seeking peace, renewal, or personal growth, our retreats offer an opportunity to step back, reflect, and reconnect with what matters most! 

    Fresh Vision Retreat (For First-Year & Transfer LC and RH Students)
    Make Fordham feel more like home by going on a retreat for first-year and transfer students looking to meet new friends, reflect on your spirituality, and look ahead to the year to come! Retreat will take place at our retreat house in Goshen, NY.

Service & Global Outreach

  • Engage communities around the world through ¡GO!—a service and cultural immersion program rooted in Ignatian Spirituality, justice, and community. Students travel during winter, spring, or summer breaks. Past locations and causes include: 
    • Arizona and Border Justice
    • Dominican Republic and Social Advocacy
    • NYC and Local Grassroots Action
    • El Salvador and Post-Conflict Peace-building

  • Put your faith into action, engage with our neighbors, and volunteer with community groups, such as StriveHigher, Grupo de Mujeres Latinas, and Xavier Mission. Participate in important discussions about issues that impact our communities, such as racism, immigration, and economic disparity.
