Office of the Provost

Supporting Faculty and Students in the Pursuit of Academic Excellence

The Office of the Provost is responsible for the growth and enrichment of the academic life of Fordham University. In consultation with the faculty and under the auspices of the President and the Board of Trustees, we promote the academic mission of the University's ten colleges and schools.

  • We foster the research activities of a distinguished community of teaching scholars and oversee faculty development and personnel matters.
  • We promote academic excellence through curricular and programmatic development across disciplines and schools and through innovative external partnerships such as the Bronx Science Consortium.
  • We provide undergraduate, graduate, and professional education that is international in its scope and aspirations on our three campuses in New York, through Fordham’s London Centre, and in many global locations with our partners in the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities.
  • We are also proud to sponsor the University's St. Edmund Campion Institute for the Advancement of Intellectual Excellence that prepares Fordham students and alumni of exceptional promise for prestigious scholarships and fellowships.
