Information Technology repairs University-issued equipment that is under warranty.
Departmental approval is required prior to any repairs being performed for equipment not covered by a warranty. To request service, contact the IT Service Desk.
University-issued leased desktop computers and laptops possess a four-year, on-site warranty. Departments are not charged for repairs to equipment under warranty. If the equipment is no longer covered, the department must pay for the repair.
Users with non-Fordham approved manufactures and/or models will have to contact either the manufacturer or the vendor who sold the equipment to obtain hardware replacement services directly.
Other equipment that is not Fordham approved is not covered under the onsite service contract. Therefore, our service technicians will only diagnose the problem. Departments will need to contact either the manufacturer of the equipment or the vendor who sold the equipment to obtain hardware servicing.
