Overview

The Learning Spaces and Events Management team supports the technology, design, and daily operation of Fordham’s classrooms, teaching labs, and event spaces. Our mission is to ensure that every learning environment is reliable, modern, and easy to use.

We manage all technology integrated into classrooms and event venues, including projection, sound, video conferencing, and digital control systems. In addition to maintaining these spaces, we coordinate upgrades, renovations, and new installations in collaboration with academic departments and other University partners.

Services

Learning Spaces

Fully equipped lecture halls, seminar rooms, and conference spaces featuring projection systems, digital control panels, video conferencing, and integrated A/V solutions.

Video Conferencing & Hybrid Learning

Support for Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and other collaboration tools in classrooms and event spaces. Includes AI tracking cameras, 360° conference cameras, and hybrid teaching technologies.

A/V Event Support

On-site assistance for University events, lectures, and conferences, including microphones, projectors, PA systems, livestreaming, and recording setups.

Equipment Loaner Programs

Management of short-term equipment loans for faculty, staff, and students - including laptops, projectors, webcams, and accessories.

Classroom Design & Installation

Consultation, design, and in-house installation of classroom and conference A/V systems.

Learning Space Renovations

Collaboration with academic departments, Facilities, and IT leadership on modernization projects, integrating accessibility, ergonomics, and new teaching technologies.

Preventive Maintenance & Monitoring

Routine checks, system updates, and centralized monitoring to minimize downtime and ensure a consistent classroom experience.

Collaboration with Faculty & Academic Departments

Consultation for technology-enhanced pedagogy, training on classroom systems, and feedback integration for future improvements.
