Michelle Johnson-Lewis, Esq. '93

Michelle Y. Johnson-Lewis ’93, a dedicated Fordham Law alumna is a retired legal executive with deep expertise in regulatory and corporate matters within the pharmaceutical and consumer healthcare industries. Following a start in the Corporate practice group at LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae, L.L.P., she spent 23 years as in-house counsel for industry leaders including Warner Lambert, Pfizer, Celgene, and Bristol Myers Squibb. In these roles, she provided strategic counsel on commercial and corporate transactions, compliance, product development and commercialization. A Certified Public Accountant, Michelle also held early-career roles in accounting at Price Waterhouse and Salomon Brothers.

Beyond her professional career, Michelle has maintained a lifelong commitment to community service and social action. Her leadership began as a teenager when she served as President of the Flatbush Young Democrats. Since then, she has held numerous board positions, including the Human Needs Food Pantry of Montclair, HOMECorp (an organization dedicated to creating affordable housing in Montclair; advisory board) and the United Way of Northern New Jersey. She currently serves on the Board of the Partnership for Maternal and Child Health of Northern New Jersey and has been a member of the Advisory Board for the Fordham Law Center on Race, Law and Justice since its inception. She is an over 45-year member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., a sorority focused on community service and social action.

A graduate of New York University Michelle lives in New Jersey with her husband and enjoys birding with her son who lives in New York City.
