How to Apply

We welcome you to apply to participate on one of 8 research teams led by Fordham faculty as part of the Transdisciplinary Research Incubator (TRI). All rising sophomores, juniors, seniors, and graduate students, including incoming graduate students, who will be active students in the 2026-2027 academic year are eligible to apply*.  

*Incoming first-year undergraduate students are not eligible to apply.

Application Instructions

Below you will find a link to the 2026-2027 TRI Student Application. You will be asked to provide the following information. You do not have to complete your application all at once. You may save your work and return to it later on the same device.

1. Basic Background Information
   Including your name, major, and Fordham Student ID #
2. Resume and References
   Resume (uploaded as a PDF file) and the name and contact information for two references – one of whom should be a faculty member. Your references do not need to provide a recommendation, but faculty team leaders may call upon them to offer additional perspective on your background and skills.
3. Prior Team Experience
   Short answer about your prior experiences working as part of a team which could include previous employment or classroom work
4. Project Preference
   Identify up to three project teams to which you wish to apply. Please apply only to projects that genuinely interest you. You will then be asked to complete a few short-answer questions specific to each of these projects. For each project to which you apply, you will be asked to complete two additional short-answer questions specific to your interest in that project (1,000 characters each).
