F.A.Q.

  • This certificate is designed for a wide range of professionals and individuals, including: tech professionals seeking to develop and implement technologies ethically; non-technical professionals across various fields who use technology in their day-to-day work (e.g., HR, marketing, legal, medical); current Fordham graduate students in programs such as computer science, cybersecurity, data science, ethics and society, philosophy, public media, psychology, law (J.D.), business (M.B.A.), social services, and education, looking to differentiate themselves.

  • This certificate program will transform you into a leader who can bridge the gap between emerging technological innovation and ethical responsibility. Rather than being overwhelmed by technological change, you’ll become the professional others turn to for guidance on responsible implementation, risk assessment, and ethical decision-making. In an economy where ethical discernment and technology expertise command premium salaries and leadership opportunities, this certificate will position you as an indispensable strategic asset.

  • The curriculum’s flexible structure allows you to specialize in your field—whether education, research, environmental advocacy, communications, digital media, law, or human rights—while building universal frameworks for ethical technology governance. You’ll graduate with the analytical tools to evaluate new technologies before they create problems, the communication skills to advocate for responsible practices, and the leadership credibility to shape how your organization approaches technological transformation.
