Dial an extension

All campus extensions are five digits.

Rose Hill campus extensions begin with 1. Example: 15678

Lincoln Center campus extensions begin with 2. Example: 26578

Westchester campus extensions begin with 3. Example: 37568


Local, long distance, international calls

Local and Long Distance
Dial 9 + 1 + area code + telephone number

Dial 9 + 011 + country code + telephone number
To set up international calling, contact IT Service Desk with a budget code for chargeback purposes.

Residence hall phone service

Students should contact the Residential Life office for their campus to request phone service in their dorm room.

Phone service includes

  • Incoming calls and toll-free dialing
  • 5-digit intercampus calling
  • Voicemail
  • 911 calls (9 + 911)

Voicemail to email

Voicemails are sent to your Fordham Gmail as an attached .mp3 file. Click on the file and listen to your message, directly from your email. If you can't hear anything, check that the sound for your device is turned on and that the volume is up.

To opt-out of this service, contact IT Service Desk.

Extension mobility

Extension Mobility allows users to temporarily access their Cisco Unified IP phone configuration, such as line appearances, services, and speed dials from other Cisco Unified IP phones. This feature is great if you work in different offices and need to access your primary phone line from another University phone.

To access this service, submit a service request via the Tech Help page under My Pages in the portal or contact IT Service Desk.

Mobile Connect

Mobile Connect enables users to:

  • Answer incoming calls on a desktop phone or cell phone

  • Pick up in-progress calls on a desktop phone or cell phone without losing connection

  • Originate University calls from a cell phone
