Faculty Updates and Accomplishments
Dr. Ida Bastiaens is a new content editor of Review of International Political Economy.
Dr. Anjali Dayal briefed the UN Security Council in December alongside former United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on leadership for peace and the selection of the next United Nations Secretary General.

Dr. Christina Greer published an op-ed in the New York Times entitled “Eric Adams Hurt More Than Just Himself.” Read the guest essay.

Student Updates and Accomplishments
Aaron Kurzweil, Professor Sophie Fullerton’s student, developed an interactive web-based game that demonstrates how political polarization shapes the everyday experiences of Americans. Check out the web-based game.
Alumni Aamer Tahseen published an opinion article in The Business Standard entitled “Populism or Pragmatism? What Bangladesh’s 2026 Election Means for the Economy.” Read the opinion article.
Dr. Karen Baird and her class visited the Museum of the City of New York to see the Activist New York exhibit.

Dr. Christina Greer invited Brooklyn State Senator, 2025 Democratic primary mayoral candidate, and Fordham alum, Zellnor Myrie to her Campaigns and Elections class.
