Wormser Competition
The I. Maurice Wormser Memorial Moot Court Competition is the second of two annual intramural competitions through which students earn invitations to join the Fordham Law Moot Court Board. Named in honor of Professor I. Maurice Wormser, who taught at Fordham University School of Law for 42 years and was one of the nation’s leading authorities on corporate law, the competition provides students with an opportunity to demonstrate their excellence in written and oral advocacy. Participants are evaluated on the strength of their legal analysis, persuasive brief writing, and oral argument.
The 2026 Wormser Competition began on September 8, 2026, and will culminate in a final round on October 19, 2026. The finalists will present their arguments before a distinguished panel of judges, to be announced.
