Shubhangi Mehrotra

Shubhi Mehrotra is an Advanced Lecturer of English specializing in disability studies, decolonial studies, rhetoric and composition, multimodal literacy, and social, environmental, and climate justice. Her pedagogical research examines decolonial approaches to language and writing, drawing on translingual and culturally sustaining pedagogies. In her teaching, she practices crip pedagogy and designs for neuroaccessibility, and her recent work explores critical AI literacy through the lens of access and authorship. She is a recipient of the student-nominated Alpha Chi Omicron Teaching Award, which honors outstanding teaching that combats racism and promotes social justice. Shubhi is a writer of short fiction and poetry, and her work has appeared in the New York Times Tiny Love Stories column. At Fordham, she has collaborated with the Center for Community Engaged Learning and leads and co-hosts workshops on accessibility in higher education, including with the Center for Educational Innovation.
