Internal Scholarships

The Gabelli School of Business is able to award the following scholarships thanks to the generosity of its alumni.  Students who submit the GSB Scholarships Universal Application will be considered for all available GSB scholarships for which they meet the criteria.   

Grace and Jack Bandazian Memorial Scholarship

The Grace and Jack Bandazian Memorial Scholarship was established to honor the memory of its namesakes. It supports a Gabelli School student with a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade point average for whom affordability may be an obstacle. 

The Steve and Fiona Colletta Scholarship

The Steve and Fiona Colletta Scholarship was established through the generosity of the scholarship's namesakes.  It supports a Gabelli student who has earned a minimum 3.0 GPA. 

The Conroy Family Class of 1979 Scholarship 

The Conroy Family Class of 1979 Scholarship  was established through the generosity of Anne Conroy, FCRH '79, and Francis Conroy, GSB '79.  It supports a Gabelli student from the New York City metropolitan area who is studying accounting. 

The James J. and Mary Ann Dowdall Endowed Scholarship

The James J. and Mary Ann Dowdall Endowed Scholarship was established through the generosity of James J. Dowdall (GSB '57) and his wife, Mary Ann. It supports full-time Gabelli students who demonstrate both academic merit and financial need, and who commute from any of New York City's five boroughs. 

The Richard J. Fay Memorial Endowed Scholarship

The Richard J. Fay Memorial Endowed Scholarship was established to honor the late Richard J. Fay (GSB '65), who pursued his education while maintaining a full-time job on Wall Street and raising a family. He went on to become one of the original senior managing directors of Bear Stearns & Co. Mr. Fay's family and friends generously created this scholarship to assist students who show similar determination. It supports non-traditional evening Gabelli School of Business students who are employed during the day and are supporting a family. 

The Ghiloni Family Scholarship 

The Ghiloni Family Scholarship provides support scholarship support to a Gabelli student who has earned a minimum 3.0 GPA. 

The Alfonso J. Fanjul, GSB '59, Scholarship

The Alfonso J. Fanjul GSB '59, Scholarship was established through the generosity of its namesake. The scholarship provides support for a Gabelli School student for whom affordability may be an obstacle to attending the University.  Preference is given to applicants from South Florida. 

The Gabelli School Global Scholarship

The Gabelli School Global Scholarship was established through the generosity of Gabelli School alumni. The scholarship provides support for studying abroad through the Gabelli School of Business' Summer London Program. 

The Peter and Carol Howe Scholarship

The Peter and Carol Howe Scholarship was established to provide support to a junior or senior majoring in Accounting, who is an active member of Beta Alpha Psi and who participates in community service. 

The John F. Kawa, GSB '65, Scholarship

The John F. Kawa, GSB '65, Family Scholarship was established to provide support to a junior or senior who is pursuing a degree in Accounting.  

The James MacNeill Scholarship

The James MacNeill Scholarship was established through the generosity of the family of James MacNeill. It supports a Gabelli sophomore student who has earned a minimum 3.3 GPA. 

The Robert B. McKeon Scholarship for International Education

The Robert B. McKeon Scholarship for International Education was established through the generosity of its namesake. The scholarship provides support for studying abroad through a Gabelli School of Business sanctioned program. 

The Nunez Family Scholarship

The Nunez Family Scholarship was established through the generosity of Armando Nunez Jr., GSB '82.  It supports a full-time Gabelli student for whom affordability may be an obstacle and who might otherwise be unable to attend Fordham University. 

The Tim and Margaret O'Shea Memorial Scholarship

The Tim and Margaret O'Shea Memorial Scholarship was established to honor the memory of its namesakes. It supports a Gabelli School student with a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade point average for whom affordability may be an obstacle. 

Michael O'Shea Memorial Scholarship

The Michael Shea Memorial Scholarship was established to honor the memory of its namesakes. It supports a Gabelli School student with a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade point average for whom affordability may be an obstacle. 

The Valerie and Michael A. Puglisi, GSB '72, Scholarship

The Valerie and Michael A. Puglisi, GSB '72, Scholarship was established through the generosity of the award's namesakes.  The scholarship provides support to a Gabelli student with a minimum 3.5 GPA. 

The Stroz Family Scholarship

The Stroz Family Scholarship was established to provide support to a junior or senior who is pursuing a degree in Accounting. 

The Talbot Family Scholarship

The Talbot Family Scholarship was established through the generosity of Brian G. Talbot, GSB ’83, and his wife, Linda Talbot. It provides financial support to a student from Long Island who graduated from a Catholic high school and who has demonstrated financial need. 

The Tognino Family Scholarship

The Tognino Family Scholarship was established through the generosity of John N. Tognino. It supports a non-traditional evening Gabelli School of Business student who is employed during the day. 

The Ralph Godfrey Trapani Memorial Endowed Scholarship

The Ralph Godfrey Trapani Memorial Endowed Scholarship was established through the bequest of Jeanne Trapani, the wife of alumnus Paul S. Trapani (GSB '41). It provides financial support to a full-time Gabelli transfer student who demonstrates academic merit as well as financial need. 

The UNOVA Scholarship

The UNOVA Scholarship supports Gabelli students of outstanding academic merit and leadership potential. Joseph Carey (GSB '55) vice chairman and chief financial officer of UNOVA, previously called Western Atlas, spearheaded Fordham’s initial proposal for the fund and arranged subsequent gifts to the endowment. The scholarship supports full-time students who are majoring in any business discipline and who demonstrate both academic excellence and financial need. Juniors who receive this scholarship must reapply to receive it again as seniors. 

The Cuno T. Von Campe Scholarship 

The Cuno T. Von Campe Scholarship was established through the generosity of Cuno Von Campe, GSB 1939. It provides financial support to an Accounting major (junior or senior) who demonstrates academic merit as well as financial need. 

The John S. Wilcha Travel Grant

The John S. Wilcha Travel Grant was established through the generosity of the Wilcha family.  The award supports Gabelli students studying abroad through a Gabelli School of Business sanctioned program. 

The David Winton (GSB '94) Memorial Endowed Scholarship

The David Winton (GSB '94) Memorial Endowed Scholarship honors the memory of an alumnus who died in the 2001 World Trade Center tragedy. It provides support for seniors in the Gabelli School of Business who have chosen a finance major/concentration, a minimum GPA of 3.0, demonstrated financial need, and who have been leaders in the Fordham community.
