Jimmy Bartolo, SJ

Jimmy Bartolo, SJ, serves as secretary for secondary and pre-secondary education of the Society of Jesus, a role he assumed in January 2026 overseeing the Jesuit Global Network of Schools. A priest of the Euro-Mediterranean Province, he previously served as rector of St Aloysius College in Malta. He has coordinated Malta’s Church Schools Association since 2015 and serves on the JECSE steering committee. He studied philosophy at the Aloisianum in Padua, theology at the Milltown Institute in Dublin and Comillas Pontifical University in Madrid, and holds a master’s in educational leadership from Boston College.
