Julie Gebauer, PAR

Julie Gebauer is the head of the human capital and benefits (HCB) segment of Willis Towers Watson. She is at the helm of the largest business (with a more than $3 billion annual revenue) within the organization, comprised of 15,000 practitioners around the world. The HCB team helps organizations and their employees realize their potential by addressing critical people issues, designing total rewards programs, driving performance-enhancing behavior, creating great places to work, and managing the cost and risk of employee benefit programs. She is a member of the company’s Operating Committee and reports to the company’s CEO.  

Prior to this role, Julie held a number of other leadership positions at Willis Tower Watson, including global head of talent and rewards line of business, business leader of the Eastern U.S. division, leader of the global workforce effectiveness practice, and leader of the employee survey line of business. She has been with the firm for 32 years. 

Julie also consults with leading global companies on a broad range of HR issues. As both a business leader and consultant, she has a deep appreciation for the value and risk that talent bring to an organization, and she is passionate about working with clients to optimize the talent equation. Julie is a frequent speaker on global talent trends, employee engagement, and total rewards. She is also co-author of Closing the Engagement Gap: How Great Companies Unlock Employee Potential for Superior Results.  

Julie received a B.S. in mathematics from the University of Nebraska, where she was honored as a Chancellor’s Scholar. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and a fellow of the Society of Actuaries, and she was inducted into the YWCA’s Academy of Women Achievers. Julie is a member of Fordham University’s President’s Council. She is also the parent of two Fordham grads—Dane, FCLC ’14, and Jeffrey, FCRH ’18.
