Stacie Yates, GSAS ’96

Stacie Yates, GSAS ’96, has more than 19 years of alternative investment experience in structuring alternative investment vehicles and legal, compliance, and regulatory issues from both the business and legal perspective.

As the head of investment product structuring at Artivest, Stacie is a senior member of the firm and is responsible for all aspects of investment product development for the organization and its clients. In addition, she oversees the RFP and operational due diligence process.

Prior to joining Artivest, Stacie spent more than five years at UBS Wealth Management, where she was most recently an executive director of product development and management. In this role, she worked with several of the largest hedge fund and private equity managers in the world to bring their offerings onto the alternative investments platform. In addition, she was responsible for handling legal, regulatory, and compliance issues on behalf of the business. She was previously the managing director and general counsel for Proctor Investment Managers, a private equity firm owned by the National Bank Financial of Canada that made working capital investments in asset managers. Prior to her time at Proctor Investment Managers, Stacie was a vice president and counsel to Credit Suisse Asset Managementʼs group hedge fund business. Stacie began her legal career at Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel, where she helped to organize, structure, and launch traditional hedge funds and also registered hedge fund products.

Stacie earned her J.D. at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, her M.A. in international political economy and development from Fordham University, and her B.A. in international relations from Trinity College, now Trinity Washington University.
