Paid Vacation Time
At Fordham, we appreciate how hard employees work and recognizes the importance of providing time for rest and relaxation. We fully encourage employees to get this rest by taking vacation time.

Administrators accrue paid vacation time based on length of service. Vacation time must be taken during the year in which it is earned.
The following chart describes the monthly vacation benefit accrual thresholds. Vacation accrual allowances are credited on the first day of each month and can be used during the employee’s Introductory Period with supervisor approval.
Years of Service Monthly Accrual Annual Maximum Accrued Amount 1 through 4 1.25 days per month 15 days (3 weeks) 5 through 19 1.67 days per month 20 days (4 weeks) 20 or more 2.08 days per month 25 days (5 weeks) Part-time Administrators working a minimum of 20-hours per week accrue vacation on a prorated basis.

The following chart describes vacation accrual for Local 153. Employees will find more detailed information in the Local 153 Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Years of Service Monthly Accrual Annual Maximum Accrued Amount Less than 4 years 1 day per month up to a maximum of 10 days 10 days (2 weeks) - Available on their 1st Anniversary
4 years but less than 10 years 1.5 days per month up to a maximum of 15 days 15 days (3 weeks) - Available on their 5th Anniversary
10 years but less than 20 years 2 days per month up to a maximum of 20 days 20 days (4 weeks) - Available on their 11th Anniversary
20 years or more 2.5 days per month up to a maximum of 25 days 25 days (5 weeks) - Available on their 21st Anniversary
30 years or more* 3 days per month up to a maximum of 30 days 30 days (6 weeks) - Available on the their 31st Anniversary
*Employees hired prior to July 1, 2021
