Medical Plan Options
The University offers its benefits-eligible faculty, administrators and clerical employees two medical coverage options through UnitedHealthcare’s (UHC) Choice Plus network. Both options provide 100 percent coverage in-network for preventive care services.
- The Health Investment Option is a consumer-directed health plan (CDHP). It features a high deductible and a Health Savings Account (HSA).
- The Enhanced Standard Option is a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) health insurance plan that is paired with a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA), a type of employer-funded account that reimburses employees for out-of-pocket health care expenses.
