Michael J. Inserra
Michael J. Inserra is vice chair and regional managing partner of the Ernst & Young LLP’s Financial Services Organization (FSO) and a member of the EY Americas Executive Board. His previous roles include managing partner of the FSO Assurance Practice and managing partner of the FSO Assurance and Advisory Business Services Practice. He also has been named the deputy-elect manager partner of the Americas and is transitioning into this role. Previously, Inserra spent several years as a member of the board of directors and chief administrative officer of Moore Capital Management, a global investment management firm.
Inserra has extensive experience within all sectors of the financial services industry and has served as global client services partner and senior advisory partner to some of EY’s largest clients. Today, he leads more than 9,000 financial services professionals within the Americas who work with banking and capital markets, insurance, wealth and asset management, and private equity institutions as they begin to pivot away from a recovery and survival mindset and explore new business models and strategies to improve transparency and foster sustainable growth and profitability.
Inserra earned his Bachelor of Science in public accounting at the Gabelli School in 1983. He is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. In addition to his membership on the Gabelli School’s Advisory Board, he recently served on the board of directors of the Managed Funds Association and is a member of the board of directors of BritishAmerican Business (BAB).
