Alan J. McCarthy Laboratories at the Calder Center

The Alan J. McCarthy Labs are housed in a 2,900 square foot wood-framed building situated next to Calder Lake. The laboratories include a complete analytical chemistry area, microscope lab, offices, and animal care room. The laboratories are also equipped with growth chambers, a nutrient autoanalyzer, gas chromatograph, high-performance liquid chromatograph, carbon-nitrogen analyzer, fluorescence and phase microscopes, spectrophotometers, autoclaves, electronic balances, and a complete array of sampling gear.
