During your first three semesters at Fordham, our academic advisers will prepare you for major declaration, study abroad programs, undergraduate research, internships, and all other opportunities you will receive here. Our team of advisers will focus on:

• Your academic progress and course registration.
• Preparing you for major declaration, study abroad programs, undergraduate research, internships, and all other opportunities you will receive at Fordham. 
• Your transition to becoming a responsible and caring member of the Fordham academic community, including understanding Fordham's commitment to academic integrity. "The vital importance of committing to academic integrity while at Fordham.
• Strategies for achieving academic success and remedies to any academic difficulty.Your academic progress and course registration. We teach you the technical details and help you see the big picture.

Once you declare a major, you are assigned a professor from that department to serve as your faculty adviser. You will meet at least once a semester with your faculty adviser to plan courses for the next semester, discuss issues in the current and past semesters, and to plan for the future, including jobs and graduate school. You will also be advised and supported by your class deans.
