Types of Scholarships at FCRH

Current students may be eligible to apply for one of the fellowships or scholarships described below. Please contact the FCRH Dean's Office at [email protected] with any questions about the awards or the application process. Please note that the first three awards are for students planning to study abroad this summer or next year. The deadline for these applications are Friday, March 15.

  • Funded by the Leahey family in memory of Dr. Edward B. Leahey, Jr., FC '69, this five thousand and five hundred dollar ($5,500.00) fellowship is intended to help a student defray the cost of travel during the summer or fall semester. Applicants should be students with a minimum of a 3.5 cumulative average who are actively involved in the extracurricular life of the College. The fellowship committee will give special consideration to applicants whose travel plans show imagination and creativity. Students can access the application here.

  • Funded by the Tobin family and their friends to honor the memory of Mark Tobin, FC '89, this five thousand and five hundred dollar ($5,500.00) fellowship is intended to help a student defray the cost of travel during the summer. Applicants should have broad academic and extracurricular interests. The fellowship committee will give special consideration to applicants whose travel plans show imagination and creativity. Students can access the application here.

  • The Fordham College at Rose Hill Study and Service Abroad Scholarship provides up to $10,000 in assistance to a student in Fordham College at Rose Hill who enrolls in a study abroad program that contains a service-learning curricular component or will provide an opportunity for sustained volunteer work. Students can access the application here.

  • Funded by the Fordham College and the Gabelli School of Business Classes of 1989 in memory of their classmates, Gregory Aiosa and Mark Tobin, this three thousand dollar ($3,000.00) scholarship is intended to help a student cover the cost of tuition during their senior year. Applicants should have a strong academic track record and contributed significantly to student life at Fordham. Students can access the application here.

  • This twenty thousand dollar ($20,000.00) scholarship honors the memory of one of Fordham's legendary professors of Communications. The scholarship is intended to help a student cover the cost of tuition during their senior year. Applicants must be Communication and Media Studies majors.

  • Funded by a generous bequest of Thomas Kavanagh, a graduate of the University’s undergraduate School of Education, this twenty thousand dollar ($20,000.00) scholarship is intended to help a student cover the cost of tuition during their senior year. Applicants must be Communication and Media Studies majors.

  • The Clare Boothe Luce Program promotes the advancement of American women through higher education in the sciences, mathematics, and engineering. The scholarship fund was set up by Mrs. Luce in her will in order to encourage women to enter math, engineering and science fields in which women have not been well represented.
