Climate and Intergroup Relations

Climate and Intergroup RelationsWe aspire to create an environment where every member both experiences and is responsible for building and maintaining a community where different perspectives are respectfully heard, every voice matters, and every individual feels a deep sense of belonging.

  • Incentivize faculty, students, administrators, and staff to attend workshops, conferences, and cultural events that develop higher DEI competencies, including a faculty cohort that will complete a diversity certification
  • Work with student affinity groups to foster a climate of inclusion across differences
  • Identify an undergraduate and graduate DEI student advisory board to drive student-focused inclusion initiatives
  • Empower students to drive operations, programming, brand messaging, social media marketing and etc. as a resume-building incentive for future careers
  • Incentivize faculty to contribute to the inclusivity of GSB’s climate by giving annual faculty DEI awards at the May joint council meeting
