RA Union bargaining timeline, through March 4, 2024
On March 7, 2023, the Union filed an unfair labor practice with the National Relations Board alleging that information Fordham distributed during the election period violated the National Labor Relations Act.
Election held on March 21, 2023
NLRB certified OPEIU Local 153 as a bargaining representative in April 2023. The certification was served on the University on April 18, 2023.
1st Bargaining session held on May 17, 2023
2nd Bargaining session held on June 15, 2023
On June 27, 2023, OPEIU Local 153 filed an Unfair Labor Practice charge with the NLRB, alleging that Fordham violated the National Labor Relations Act when it insisted in conducting the bargaining sessions in-person
On August 3rd, Fordham and the Union reached an agreement on the modality of bargaining going forward and the Union conditionally withdrew both ULPs and the parties scheduled the 3rd bargaining session
