Academic Awards and Dean's List
Students at Fordham College at Rose Hill who excel within our rigorous curriculum are recognized for their performance throughout their academic career. These awards and recognitions include the Dean's List, degrees conferred with honors, and various departmental and program awards given to graduating seniors.
The Dean's List, published annually in the fall, is composed of those students in each of the four classes who have received letter grades for at least 24 Fordham credits during the preceding academic year and have achieved high scholastic standing with a quality point index of 3.600 or above.
First Honors is awarded to all students who obtain a quality point index of 3.900 or above. Second Honors is awarded to all students who obtain a quality point index of 3.800 to 3.899. The Dean's List is noted on the student's academic transcript.
Each class holds its own Dean's List ceremony, and honorees are formally welcomed by their class dean and congratulated by a faculty keynote speaker. The students also receive Dean's List certificates. The individual ceremonies are followed by a congratulatory reception for recipients from all class years.
