Maria Tiso, GABELLI ‘91

Maria J. Tiso is a partner in KPMG LLP’s New York Healthcare and Not-for-Profit practice, bringing over 34 years of experience in assurance and advisory services to healthcare providers and nonprofit organizations. As the Northeast Commercial Healthcare Public Services audit group leader and Metro New York Healthcare Industry leader, she has deep expertise across all facets of the healthcare sector, including acute care hospitals, home health agencies, long-term care facilities, and health plans. Maria is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She is a recognized leader, having been named one of Crain’s New York Business 2020 Notable Women in Accounting and Consulting, and she actively contributes to professional development through roles such as Co-Chair of the KPMG Network of Women (KNOW) and member of the Executive Leadership Institute for Women. She is also a frequent speaker on audit topics and serves on the audit committee for the Pelham School District.
