Thomas J Diemer

Tom Diemer is currently the chief financial officer for Trimont, a global commercial mortgage servicer and the largest commercial mortgage master servicer in the USA. In this current role, he leads Trimont’s global finance team responsible for financial reporting, treasury, tax, financial planning and analysis, investor relations, and balance sheet management.  He serves on Trimont’s Executive Management, Compensation, Investment, Risk and 401K committees. 

Diemer has more than 30 years of experience in private and public companies covering finance, accounting, risk management, operations, asset management, actuarial science, and leadership development. Prior to his current role, he served as CFO and CRO, at Security Benefit, where he oversaw the finance, risk, and cybersecurity functions for a rapidly expanding privately-owned life and annuity insurance company.

Prior to Security Benefit, Diemer was CFO-Retail Solutions at Lincoln Financial Group, where he was a catalyst for designing and implementing new finance and data operating models and enhancing risk management practices and governance. From 2015–2022, he served as CFO at AIG/Corebridge Financial for the life and retirement businesses, overseeing a global finance team of over 400 actuarial, finance, accounting, and capital markets professionals. At AIG, he led the execution of several significant transactions with private equity investors and was an instrumental leader in preparing for Corebridge’s IPO in 2022.  Diemer served as AIG’s Chief Risk Officer for Life and Retirement from 2013-2015. His early experience includes financial leadership positions at Prudential Financial and Merrill Lynch, after starting his career at PwC.

Diemer earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Fordham University in 1992 and an MBA in Finance and Information systems from New York University in 2002. He and his wife, Barbara Berardo Diemer ‘92, have two children and currently reside in Houston, Texas and Spello, Italy.
