Adjunct Professor of Communications
Howard Homonoff has been a leading executive, strategic advisor and thought leader in the media business for over 20 years. He has worked with traditional and digital media companies, brands, agencies, and tech firms with a focus on driving revenue growth and strategic partnerships for clients such as The Walt Disney Company, Comcast, NBCUniversal, Fox Television, the Motion Picture Association, the 4As, the Association of National Advertisers and SAG-AFTRA. Homonoff also has served as an expert witness on the media industry in proceedings before federal courts, the Federal Communications Commission, and the Copyright Royalty Board.
In addition to serving as an adjunct professor in Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business graduate media management program, Homonoff is the senior advisor for the media & entertainment industry at Grant Thornton Advisors; a weekly contributor to Forbes on media, advertising, and entertainment; and senior fellow at Columbia Business School’s Institute on Tele-Information (CITI).
Prior to his work in strategy consulting, Homonoff served as general counsel for NBC Cable Networks and vice president and general manager of CNBC Strategic Ventures where, in addition to his business development duties, he managed the P&L of NBCU’s early-stage business units including streaming media, satellite radio, broadcast syndication, interactive TV, and the launch of CNBC World. He also served as counsel to the U.S. House of Representatives Subcommittee on Telecommunications and Finance. Homonoff is a graduate of New York University School of Law and Cornell University.
