Kate Kennon

Kate Shea Kennon, Ed.D., is an assistant dean of academic advising at Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business, where she supports students in the M.S. in Media Management program. Kennon also directs student engagement in the Responsible Business Center, exploring research and career opportunities in sustainability. She is a board member of the Jesuit Business Network, which brings together Jesuit colleges and universities from all over the U.S. to share best practices in student services. She also is a Jesuit School Student Success Network member and is on the steering committee for the Student-Athlete Advising community, NACADA.  

Kennon holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership and Administration from Fordham University, an M.A. in English from Western Connecticut University, and a B.A. in English from St. Bonaventure University, where she co-leads an alum cycling club. Her research continues to focus on intercultural communications, student-athlete advising, and sustainability initiatives. She also serves on the board of Origin Theater and is honored to be on the jury for the annual Irish Theater Festival. New York is her campus—especially NYC theater—so look for her way up in the mezzanine in an aisle seat.
