Eileen Doherty is an assistant clinical professor at the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University, where she teaches in the area of business communication. Previously, she was an associate professor of Communication and Media Arts at Marymount Manhattan College, where she taught undergraduate courses such as Public Speaking, Organizational Communication, and Communication Campaigns. She earned a Ph.D. in 2012 from Purdue University. Eileen is an interpersonal communication scholar with a focus on persuasion, social support, and strategic message design in applied health contexts. Her research has appeared in academic journals such as Qualitative Health Research, Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers & Prevention, and Journal of Prevention & Intervention in the Community.
