Frank J. Petrilli, BS ’72, MBA ’74
Frank J. Petrilli has an extensive career in financial services, underpinned by a tradition of community service that reflects Fordham University’s mission and values. He has held numerous C-suite positions, including at the online financial securities company TD Waterhouse, where he was president and chief operating officer and later CEO; at American Express Centurion Bank, where he became president and COO; at Surge Trading, Inc.; and at Nexxar Group, Inc. In 2012, he was named chairman of the board of E*TRADE Financial Corporation.

Mr. Petrilli is a true son of Fordham. He graduated from Fordham Preparatory School in 1968 and went on to the University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in 1972 and his MBA in 1974 from what is now the Gabelli School of Business. He earned a CFA designation in 1986.

Throughout his career, Mr. Petrilli has given back to his alma mater, his city, and his community. In addition to providing the endowment for the Center for Research in Contemporary Finance, he has been a trustee at Fordham Preparatory School and at the University level. He has served as president and trustee of Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City, vice chair of the American Red Cross in Greater New York, vice chair of the Health Care Chaplaincy, and a member of the board of directors of the National Italian American Foundation.
