Jospeh Ponterotto is both a licensed psychologist and mental health counselor in New York State, and is the former associate editor of the Journal of Counseling Psychology. He currently coordinates the mental health counseling master’s degree program at Fordham University.

Ponterotto’s primary interest is a passion for teaching master's and doctoral students in the counseling psychology field. He teaches from an experiential model and all of his classes are highly interactive, demonstration-infused, engaging, and challenging. Ponterotto also enjoys scholarship and working on research teams with both master's and doctoral students.
