Diversity Inclusion Initiatives

Global Diversity and Inclusion Conference

Since 2013, the Offices of Career Services and Multicultural Affairs have collaborated to offer students, faculty and administrators an annual conference that focuses on global diversity within the world of work. Each year we offer a focused theme with the participation of Fordham Faculty and Employers. Some of the past conference themes have been: “Finding Balance, Achievement & Empowerment”, “Leadership in a Global Society” and “From Empowerment to Action”.  Career Services and the Office of Multicultural Affairs work collaboratively to plan a full day conference, to provide workplace information to our students who would like to engage in conversations about diversity and how intersections of identity affect the work environment.

Our 2019 theme is Mission Value Purpose- MVP. Mission: social justice and economic inequality. Value: community and cultural inclusion. Purpose: taking action and implementing change. As a community, how Fordham University is actively involved in those areas. To enlightened students and engage them in the importance of connectivity, community and care of others from a global inclusion perspective.

Global Diversity Employer Presentations

In addition to the conference, Career Services and the Office of Multicultural Affairs have also collaborated in developing and offering employer presentations on diversity in the world of work throughout the academic year concluding with the conference in the spring semesters. Some of our presenters have be PwC, Simon & Schuster and Random House.
