Graduate Real Estate Institute Scholarships
The Fordham Real Estate Institute offers a number of financial awards and scholarships to incoming students. Students must be enrolled in a minimum of six credits per semester:
Dean's Scholar: $10,000
The Dean's Scholar award is the most competitive award offered through the Real Estate Institute. The scholarship committee will identify those who present the strongest applications, with an emphasis placed on the undergraduate academic performance, work experience and the insight provided through a required essay. Applicants who would like to be considered for the award should email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. The award deadlines are November 15 for Spring and May 1 for Fall applications.
She Builds Award: $6,000
The Real Estate Institute works to enhance the representation of women in the real estate industry and this award reflects our commitment to advancing women in real estate. Recipients of this scholarship show strong academic merit, leadership and a dedication to a career in real estate.
Other Real Estate Institute scholarships and awards:
- Dean’s award: $6,000 merit award. Preference given to those working in real estate.
- REI award: $4,000 merit award. Preference given to those working in real estate.
- She Builds award: $6,000 Awarded to the top female candidates.
- Strivers award: $4,000.
- Financial need award: $4,000
- Advanced Graduate Certificate award: $2,700 to the top students pursuing an advanced graduate certificate
- Hugh Kelly Book Award: $500 Named after Hugh F. Kelly, chair of REI’s curriculum committee. Given to students who emulate the values of Fordham and show exceptional potential for growth. (Cannot be combined with other PCS Dean’s award). May be awarded to Advanced Certificate students or MS students.
- REI Westchester Awards: $1,000, $1,500 or $2,000 awarded to top students enrolled at the Westchester campus
All awards must be accepted within two weeks of the date of the offer.

Trust offers a number of scholarships for academic study related to careers in real estate appraisal or related areas
Asset Based Lending scholarship. A scholarship program for students pursuing a degree in real estate.
Association of Women Contractors AWC
Awards numerous scholarships to females entering construction-related careers through the academic track or through an apprenticeship.
Builders League of South Jersey Scholarships
Will be awarded to students from southern New Jersey, who will be matriculating in an accredited post- secondary school and pursuing a course of study related to real estate and the construction industry.
Charles Grossman Graduate Scholarship
Sponsored by the International Council of Shopping Centers. Applicant must be an active ICSC member (includes student membership) who is or who will be a graduate degree-seeking candidate enrolled in the upcoming fall academic term at an accredited college or university
CREW Network Foundation
Scholarship program that supports future female leaders as they pursue university-level education that will lead to careers in commercial real estate.
Epsilon Sigma Alpha Foundation
Awards numerous scholarships annually, you do not have to be an ESA member to apply for a scholarship, and our application process is 100% online. The application deadline for 2018-19 academic year is February 1, 2018.
The Evalee C. Schwarz Charitable Trust for Education
Provides interest-free loans to undergraduate and graduate students who demonstrate exceptional academic performance and significant financial need.
George M. Brooker Collegiate Scholarship for Minorities
Sponsored by the Institute of Real Estate Management Foundation. Offers scholarships to members of a minority group who have achieved academic excellence in Real Estate and have completed at least two courses in Real Estate
Mary Lou Fiala Fellowship
Sponsored by the International Council of Shopping Centers. Open to students 30 years old or younger who have had at least two years’ experience in the Real Estate industry
Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Construction Management Association of America (MAC CMAA)
Awards a limited number of scholarships to qualified students to help them defray the costs of pursuing a degree in construction management or a related-degree program. Must live in NJ, PA or DE.
Mortgage Bankers Association of New York (MBAofNY) awards a limited number of scholarships to students pursuing a master's or undergraduate degree in real estate in New York City
Pension Real Estate Association (PREA)
Awards scholarships for undergraduate or graduate-level study in Real Estate
WX Scholars Program
Provides scholarships to women in the New York Metropolitan Area who wish to pursue careers in real estate or related fields.
